Filter Head: It has swivel connections for water lines,3 built in selections 1, 2, 3, for degree of filtration needed, based on your water condition, Heavy, Medium or Light hard minerals. just set the filtration # you need, when it's time to change to a new filter, just twist out the old one and turn in the new one. The built in on / off water shut off valve eliminates the need to close and open a valve manually.
Flow Meter: The flow meter will tell you how much water has been used through your filter and when it's time to replace your filter. Premium filters have magnesium to add, it is a non-harmful solid, so it shows on a normal test strip. the filter book that comes with your BWT filter will tell you the amount of water your filter size will handle based on your total water hardness and where to set your meter The meter will count down to the point that it tells you when it's time to replace the filter insuring you proper protection for your machine and maintain good taste to your coffee.

A set of OD 3/8 metric to 3/8 US fittings; BWT is a European based mfg. therefor the fittings are metric the adapter set will allow you to us a US connection for your needs.
